Trading since 1946 Heightvale are a well established, multi-disciplined contractor that delivers a comprehensive, high quality total property renovation service for both domestic and commercial properties throughout the North West of England, primarily for insurance claims however, in recent years we have entered the private market as well.

With our head office based in Bolton, we have carefully and strategically positioned ourselves to ensure we deliver a truly effective and cost-efficient service.

Being a multi-disciplined contractor, we boast a highly-skilled and well trained staff, each with multiple skills under their belts but all of which have a particular speciality as well. Furthermore, we have built many fantastic relationships with leading brand suppliers, to not only ensure the high standards of our work, but to reassure our customers of quality as well.

Our History

Back in 1946 Heightvale as you know it today started out as Bolton Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Service, where our primary activity in those early years was to deliver a carpet & upholstery cleaning service to the Cunard shipping lines sailing out of Liverpool.

Thanks to our hard work and success our cleaning service grew to accommodate the needs of the local population in and around Bolton and from this auspicious growth, we came to the attention of the insurance sector.

At a time of post war national austerity furniture preservation was a key sector and as such we quickly developed a French Polishing division. This division whilst diversifying into specialisms such as piano restoration and horology is as critical to our service offering today as it was all those years ago.

This track record of market driven diversification has been hugely relevant to our success as a business and our position as probably the UK’s No 1 contractor for “cradle to grave” claims management.

The ability to read market development also afforded us the opportunity to become founding members of the British Damage Management Association (BDMA) creating what is now a national platform of standards throughout the industry. Boasting a huge and varied range of specialised drying equipment, certified technicians and state of the art monitoring units we are able to respond to all levels of flooding from single rooms to national disasters.

The natural growth and progression led inevitably to incorporating a building division within our structure and this was achieved some 25 years ago along with a company name change to Heightvale limited to better reflect our offering.

By controlled growth and managed diversification, Heightvale is now a true one-stop solution for all aspects of domestic and commercial building management. Whilst we at Heightvale have changed structure and form to stay abreast of an ever changing market, despite this, our core principles have never wavered, those of honesty, integrity and empathy are as relevant today as they were back in 1946.
